The Animal Welfare Act is often violated by scientists in laboratories. Many animals get tortured or abused as officials do not reinforce the law strongly.

countries such as: The European Union, India, New Zealand, Israel, Norway, Canada, and Taiwan have banned animal testing on certain type of consumer good. US has only banned animal testing for cosmetics in 4 out of 50 states.
